Instructions
Step 1
Dumplings with cottage cheese Put the salt, sugar, sour cream and beaten egg in the previously grated cottage cheese and mix thoroughly. Make a tough dough. To do this, combine flour, milk, egg and sugar. Place the dough on a floured surface and roll out two long, thin strips 40-50 centimeters wide. Spread the balls made from cottage cheese along the entire length of one strip at a distance of 2 centimeters from each other. Cover the balls of cottage cheese with a second layer of dough and press it gently against the bottom layer around each ball. Cut the dumplings with a knife, place them on a floured wooden board and refrigerate.
Step 2
You can make dumplings in another way: just roll out a thin layer of dough, cut out circles with a diameter of 7-8 centimeters from it, put cottage cheese in them and gently pinch the edges with your hands. Before serving, dip the required amount of dumplings in salted boiling water and simmer over low heat for 5-8 minutes. Remove the dumplings that have floated to the surface of the water with a slotted spoon and put in a saucepan with butter. Serve the dumplings with sour cream.
Step 3
Lazy dumplings with cottage cheese Pound the butter and sugar until smooth. Then add cottage cheese, egg and mix everything thoroughly. Pour in enough flour so that the dough is thick enough, but also a little sticky. Make a long "sausage" out of the dough and cut it into small small pieces (diamonds, circles, etc.). Pour drinking water into a saucepan, add a little salt and bring to a boil, put the dumplings with cottage cheese there and cook until tender. Do not cook them for too long, otherwise they will become limp and look ugly, and they will lose their taste. As soon as the dumplings float to the surface of the water, remove them and serve with sour cream.
