Ingredients for making meat filling

To prepare the meat filling, you will need the following ingredients:

- 0.5 kg of minced meat;

- 1 large onion;

- salt;

- pepper;

- 1 glass of meat broth;

- fresh herbs.

Ideally, you should buy lamb. If you can't afford it, try replacing it with plain beef or a mixture of beef and pork.

Method for preparing meat filling

The filling for pasties should be prepared from fresh meat. If you did not manage to find fresh, but you have to use defrosting, in no case should you defrost it in the heat, otherwise the meat will lose its juiciness. Place the meat in the refrigerator and wait 12-24 hours. During this time, it should thaw.

The meat used for the cheburek filling should not be lean. If there is no fat in it, you can add it yourself, having previously chopped it with a meat grinder.

Take thawed or fresh meat, chop it finely with a sharp knife, or use a meat grinder to chop it. Peel the onion and cut into small cubes. Mix the minced meat, onion, pepper and salt in a deep bowl, add one glass of meat broth there, mix thoroughly again and leave for 10-15 minutes so that the smells can combine. If you like greens, you can add some basil, parsley, or dill to the filling.

Another of the most popular is the cheese and vegetable filling.

To prepare such a filling, you will need:

- large tomatoes, 2 pcs;

- 100 g of hard cheese;

- garlic;

- fresh herbs;

- salt.

Take 2 large tomatoes, peel them off, keeping them in boiling water for a short time. Cut vegetables into small cubes or thin half rings. Grind 100 g of hard cheese and add to it three garlic cloves passed through a press. Stir all the ingredients, add a little salt and add fresh finely chopped herbs to them.

To make the pasties juicy, you need to fry them in a hot pan with a lot of vegetable oil.
