We all have a situation when there is no time to cook lunch, which you need to take with you. Then you have to run around the shops, or take in reserve sandwiches and everything that may be useful to you. Canned barley with pork is a great alternative to store-bought questionable dinners.

- Pearl barley - 1, 5 cups.
- Pork, fillet - half a kilo.
- Onions, medium-sized - 1 pc.
- Carrots - 1 pc.
- Sunflower oil - 3 tablespoons.
- Water - one and a half liters.
- Seasonings to taste.
Instructions
Step 1
Process the pork first. Fat is cut off from it, although this is a matter of taste. But many people willingly fry onions in lard - why look for it on other products? Then put the meat in a saucepan and simmer. It is necessary to simmer for a long time - about an hour, but not more, on the smallest fire.

Now process vegetables - onions and carrots. Fry them chopped for a few minutes and then send them to the fillet pot. Garlic must be sent there, but first chop it, for example, with a special press.
Step 3
Now you need to add pearl barley. It takes a lot of water. Many people pre-soak the pearl barley, because it is very tough, but still, it is satisfying against the background of most cereals. You can add 5 more glasses to the one that is already there. Barley is brewed for 30-40 minutes.
Step 4
Now prepare the jars. They need to be sterilized. When this is done, put the seasoning on the bottom: bay leaf, pepper.
Step 5
Porridge with meat should be laid out in jars, leaving a little space under the lid. Wrap the resulting jars in a terry towel. In general, you can eat porridge after cooling down. But if you need lunch with you for 10 days, you have it ready. But if you hide the jars in the refrigerator, the product will not go bad for more than a month.
