Step 1
Arrange the strawberries and raspberries on a plate or any flat surface in one layer. Cover with a napkin and store in the refrigerator. Do not leave them in a glass jar or plastic wrap. Berries with a firm surface, such as blueberries, blueberries, cranberries, drupes, can be stored in a deep container covered with a napkin.
Step 2
One of the most common ways to store berries is to freeze them. Before that, pour blueberries, drupes, blueberries, cranberries or lingonberries into a colander and wash them with cold water, remove excess debris. Then dry the berries, put them in a plastic bag and freeze. For convenience, it can be frozen in 2 cm thick briquette bags.
Step 3
Strawberries and raspberries are delicate berries, so freeze them unwashed. Take a baking sheet, place a linen or paper towel on it, sprinkle the berries over it in one layer and place in the freezer for an hour. Once the strawberries or raspberries have hardened, place them in a bag, glass jar, or plastic freezer container. In this form, they will not freeze and remain firm. The berries are suitable for consumption in a slightly frozen form, they retain all the taste and nutritional properties.
Step 4
Wild berries can be frozen in sugar syrup. To do this, take 150 g of sugar in 0.5 liters of water and boil the syrup. Heat over low heat until sugar is completely dissolved, and then refrigerate. Leave some space in the freezer bag as it will expand when frozen.
Step 5
When you want to defrost the berries, place them under hot water right in the package. Can be defrosted at room temperature or in the microwave. Thawed berries cannot be re-frozen and stored.
