Coffee is an invigorating, aromatic and energetic drink. Having drunk a cup of freshly brewed coffee in the morning, you will feel a surge of strength and energy for the whole day. However, it is worth remembering a few simple rules for the correct storage of coffee, otherwise it will quickly lose its taste and aroma properties.
It is necessary
- - Glassware with a tight-fitting lid,
- - dark, cool and dry place.
Instructions
Step 1
The taste of coffee depends on the place of cultivation, the methods of roasting and, of course, on the type of coffee. Especially ground coffee loses its aroma quickly, so it is better to buy and store coffee beans. At the same time, you do not need to buy a lot of coffee at once, it is better to take it more often, but little by little.
Step 2
Air is coffee's most dangerous enemy. It is the air that contributes to the rapid oxidation of coffee, and, accordingly, the rapid loss of aroma. Therefore, coffee should be stored in vacuum containers or hermetically sealed foil containers. If the coffee package has been opened, try to use the coffee within two weeks, and close the package tightly each time.
Step 3
Keep coffee away from strong-smelling foods and spices, as coffee tends to absorb foreign odors.
Step 4
If you do buy a large volume of coffee beans, it will last well if you send it to the freezer. Thus, all its beneficial properties and aroma will be preserved.
Step 5
Store coffee in a low humidity environment and away from direct sunlight.
Step 6
You need to grind coffee in small quantities just before brewing. Since ground coffee retains its aroma for only 6-8 hours.
Step 7
After opening the package, pour the coffee into a glass container with a tight-fitting lid. The lid must have a special rubberized gasket to prevent air from passing through.
