Mulled wine is a popular drink in Western Europe. It is often prepared at fairs and during festivities. Classic mulled wine is based on red wine and spices, which makes it very warming and tart. But not everyone likes and drinks alcohol. Therefore, you can prepare non-alcoholic mulled wine from grape juice, which tastes little different from the traditional one. It will surely cheer you up, as well as give a boost of vivacity and strength.
It is necessary
- - canned red grape juice 100% natural - 500 ml;
- - ground cinnamon - 1/4 tsp. or sticks - 2 pcs.;
- - ground ginger - 1/4 tsp. (optional);
- - cardamom - 1 pinch;
- - star anise - 2 pcs.;
- - carnation buds - 4 pcs.;
- - orange - 1 pc.;
- - sugar or honey to taste;
- - a saucepan or saucepan with a lid.
Instructions
Step 1
Rinse the orange under running water and dry. Use a grater to remove the zest from it. Then cut into two halves, in each of which make an incision. Insert 2 carnation buds into the holes made.
Step 2
Then place the orange and clove in a saucepan or small saucepan. Add all the spices to it: zest, star anise, cinnamon, ginger (optional) and cardamom. Pour the grape juice over the entire contents of the saucepan and place on the stove.
Step 3
Set the temperature to medium so that it does not heat up too much and evenly, then cover with a lid. As soon as a "noisy" sound, characteristic of the heating liquid, is heard in the saucepan, the dishes must be removed from the stove immediately. The drink should not boil in any case.
Step 4
Leave the finished mulled wine for a couple of minutes to settle, and then strain it. Add sugar or honey to taste and pour immediately into glasses. If desired, you can put an orange or lemon ring in each glass. Serve hot. You can also pour it into a thermos and take it with you for a walk.
