Brizol is just one of those dishes that can be prepared in just a few minutes. At the same time, there is not a single unnatural ingredient in it, and the amazing taste will make even the most picky gourmets “swallow the tongue”. Here are some of the most interesting recipes for this amazing dish.

What is brizol?

People unfamiliar with French cuisine are often at a loss hearing this word. Meanwhile, most of us are familiar with this dish from homemade breakfasts. Brizol is an ordinary omelet, in which some filling is wrapped: meat, mushrooms, vegetables, or even sweet jam.

You can cook this dish in different ways. Some people first form the inner part (for example, a cutlet or a whole piece of chicken fillet), after which they dip it in a beaten egg and transfer the resulting composition to a frying pan. Others fry the omelet separately, and then put different goodies on it.

The size of the brizol also depends solely on the desire of the cook. You can make small, no more cutlets, omelettes. True, they need a suitable sized frying pan. Or fry a large brizol and serve it to the table, having previously rolled it up. Or, bake the filling only on one half, and cover the other on top. In a word, there is no limit to imagination.

Without exaggeration, chicken can be called the most successful filling for brizol. It is relatively cheap, cooks quickly, does not require lengthy heat treatment, unlike, for example, beef. In addition, it goes well with any side dish.

Processing chicken before cooking

For brizol, you can use almost any part of the bird: drumstick, leg, pulp at the base of the wings, and even the back. But breast is best for brizol. By the way, "white meat" is considered the most beneficial in chicken. For this reason, many housewives prefer to cook breakfasts from fillets.

Cut the chicken breast into wide, flat slices and beat each carefully with a hammer. A little trick: so that you don't have to wash the table later (and if you're not lucky, then the walls), put the meat in a plastic bag before beating it.

Salt the fillets and sprinkle with paprika or black pepper if desired. After that, it is advisable to leave the breast for an hour and a half so that it absorbs the aromas of spices well. From 1 chicken breast, 4-6 small fillet pieces are obtained. Enough to feed a large family.

The simplest recipe for this amazing dish takes at most a quarter of an hour. And if you beat off and marinate the meat in the evening, then you will have to prepare a delicious hearty breakfast in just a few minutes.

For one serving you will need:

  • 1 slice of chicken meat;
  • 1 egg;
  • Several tablespoons of flour;
  • And some vegetable oil.

Take a deep container with a wide bottom and beat the egg into it. Salt it and stir well with a whisk or fork. Pour some flour into a flat plate. Dip a piece of fillet in it and gently dip it into the egg.

Pour some oil into a well-heated skillet and pour the egg mixture and meat into the skillet in one quick motion. You will end up with a kind of omelet with a chop in the middle. If it has shifted to the side, you can carefully adjust it until the egg has time to "grab".

Fry the brizol on one side until the egg is golden brown (this takes about 5 minutes). Turn it over with a spatula and keep it on fire for another 3-4 minutes. This time is just enough for the chicken breast to fry, but not have time to become dry. You can serve it with a side dish or eat it as a separate dish.

It is not always possible to make chops. But minced chicken can be purchased at any store. And it's great for making delicious and satisfying brizol.

To prepare 2 servings you will need:

  • 150 grams of minced meat;
  • 3 eggs;
  • 2 tablespoons of milk;
  • 50 grams of sour cream;
  • pickled cucumber (or a few if you have tiny gherkins);
  • a clove of garlic;
  • fresh herbs (dill is best of all, although parsley, cilantro, and green onion feathers will do);
  • some vegetable oil;
  • and seasonings.

A thick sauce will add a piquant taste to this hearty delicacy. To prepare it, you need to mix finely chopped greens with sour cream, pour the garlic passed through the crusher there and, adding salt, stir the mass thoroughly.

Chop the cucumbers into thin strips. Salt and pepper the minced meat. Beat one egg into it and mix well with the meat.

Form the minced meat into two patties. Roll into a flat cake and set aside; you will need them a little later.

Next, beat 1 egg with salt and half milk. Pour the blank onto a flat plate and place the chicken tortilla on top of it as carefully as possible. Then carefully slide the whole mass into a well-heated frying pan with a drop of oil.

Fry the omelet over medium heat on both sides (4-5 minutes each) and remove to a clean plate. Make sure that the meat filling is on top. Top with half the sour cream sauce and chopped cucumbers. Now all that remains is to roll the first brizol into a roll and prepare the second portion in the same way.

Of course, if you need to feed a large number of guests, it can take quite a long time to prepare the required number of rolls. However, their amazing taste and original look are worth your while!

The main requirement for any breakfast is satiety. After all, most likely, the next meal will happen not earlier than in 5-6 hours. This means that the calorie content of the morning meal should be high enough. And, it is desirable that it contains not only carbohydrates necessary for the functioning of the brain, but also proteins. Brizol prepared with mushroom filling ideally meets all these requirements. True, it is better to do it in advance and immediately for a large number of eaters.

For 4 servings you will need the following foods:

  • 300 grams of minced meat;
  • 600 grams of champignons (or any other mushrooms);
  • 4 eggs;
  • 2 medium-sized onions;
  • 200 grams of hard cheese;
  • 2-3 cloves of garlic;
  • mayonnaise;
  • and, of course, salt, spices and, if desired, fresh herbs.

Salt the minced meat and mix with spices. Peel the onion and mushrooms, cut into small pieces. First fry the onion over high heat. When it is golden, put the mushrooms in the same place. It will take about 10 minutes for them to come to readiness. Remember to stir the vegetable mixture in the pan from time to time!

In the meantime, you can prepare a garlic sauce: mix a few tablespoons of mayonnaise with chopped herbs. Salt. And add 1 clove of crushed garlic there.

Now we begin to bake brizoli. Stir one egg with two tablespoons of milk and pour into a preheated skillet. In this recipe, the omelet is fried separately, for a few minutes on both sides.

Now all that remains is to form the brizol. Put the minced meat in a thin layer on the omelet, and the mushrooms fried with onions in the second layer. Pour the garlic sauce over everything, gently spreading it over the filling. Sprinkle with grated cheese. Roll the omelet in half or in a tube, secure it so it doesn't open, and prepare the rest of the portions in the same way. The finished composition can be additionally sprinkled with cheese on top. Then send the baking sheet to the oven for 20 minutes.

Such hearty straws can not only be eaten for breakfast, but also taken with you to work or school as lunch. However, this fragrant dish is so great that even on a festive table it can be served without hesitation.

Any brizol, regardless of the ingredients, is prepared according to a similar principle. You can take thinly sliced sausages instead of minced meat, add fried zucchini or eggplant as a filling.
