It is necessary

  • Dough:
  • Eggs - 4 pcs.;
  • Vegetable oil - 85 g;
  • Orange juice - 150 g;
  • Zest of one orange;
  • Sugar - 180 g;
  • Self-rising flour - 260 g;
  • Vanilla sugar - 1 sachet;
  • Cocoa powder - 40 g.
  • Cream:
  • Wheat flour - 20 g;
  • Orange juice - 50 ml;
  • Zest of one orange;
  • Sugar - 75 g;
  • Yolks - 2 pcs.;
  • Fat cream - 250 ml.

Instructions

Step 1

Divide the eggs into whites and yolks.

Step 2

Put the oven to heat up to 180 degrees and prepare a 26 cm diameter dish, having previously greased it with butter.

Step 3

Sift flour into a bowl, add vanilla and regular sugar, orange zest. Stir.

Step 4

Add yolks, vegetable oil and orange juice to the dry ingredients mixture.

Step 5

Beat the whites until peaks and carefully, in portions, add into the dough.

Step 6

Divide the dough in two. Add cocoa powder to one of them.

Step 7

Pour 2 tablespoons of dark and light dough into the mold alternately to create a "marbled" pattern.

Step 8

Place in a preheated oven and bake for about 45 minutes. Check readiness with a toothpick.

Step 9

To make the cream, combine the yolks with sugar, flour, juice and zest in a small saucepan.

Step 10

Mix all ingredients thoroughly and place in a water bath. Boil until thick, then set aside and let cool completely.

Step 11

Whisk the cooled cream and blend with the orange cream until smooth.

Step 12

Cool the finished cake, cut in half and spread with cream.
