It is necessary

  • - 300 g of orange (weight without peel);
  • - 300 g of sugar;
  • - 3 eggs;
  • - 1 tbsp. vanilla sugar;
  • - 2 tsp baking powder;
  • - 1 tsp salt;
  • - 0.5 tsp soda;
  • - 350 g flour;
  • - 5 tbsp. olive oil.

Instructions

Step 1

Cut the skin off the orange (don't throw it away!), Place it in a saucepan, pour three glasses of water and add half the sugar (150 g).

Step 2

Finely chop the skin with a knife and add to the saucepan to the orange. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to medium and simmer for 20-25 minutes. Remove the boiled orange, but do not pour out the water in which it was boiled.

Step 3

Preheat the oven to 190 degrees. Cool the orange and chop with a blender. Add the orange skins with which the orange was boiled, beat everything again with a mixer and pour the mixture into a deep bowl.

Step 4

Add the remaining sugar and vanilla sugar to the orange. Whisk thoroughly.

Step 5

Beat the eggs into the orange. Then add all the dry ingredients of the dough and stir everything with a spoon until smooth.

Step 6

Lastly, add olive oil to the dough, mix well again and pour into a greased mold. Place in oven for 45 minutes. The toothpick will come out dry from the finished cake.

Step 7

While still hot, pierce the pie directly in the form with a toothpick and pour over the water left over from cooking the orange. Leave the cake like this for a few hours.

Step 8

Melt the chocolate in a water bath. Remove the cake from the mold and cover with melted chocolate. Leave until the glaze hardens. If you wish, you can decorate the cake with slices or zest of oranges or tangerines.
