In France, pancakes are called crepes. They are considered the thinnest in the world, they are made from buckwheat flour. Crepes are traditionally served with various fillings, both meat and sweet. But the most popular are crepes with the addition of powdered sugar. For the preparation of French crepe, a flat frying pan is used, and a special device is used for rolling the dough.

In Japan, pancakes are called okonomiyaki, which outwardly resemble pancakes. It is a non-sweet dish consisting of fried thin flatbreads sprinkled with dried tuna and sauce. The peculiarity of making dough for okonomiyaki is that in addition to flour and eggs, chopped vegetables and broth are added to it.

In North America, pancakes are called pancakes. They are traditionally prepared for breakfast. Pancake is a small lush rounded pancake, sprinkled with syrup on top. It is sometimes served with berries and whipped cream. Pancakes are usually prepared with yoghurt to achieve opulence.
