In Mexico, the indigenous population has no idea what "Borodinsky bread" and "sliced loaf" are. But local chefs prepare delicious corn cakes - tortillas. The best part is that making tortillas is as easy as shelling pears and at our home.
It is necessary
- corn flour - 2 cups
- water - 1.5 cups
- vegetable oil - 2-3 tablespoons
- salt
Instructions
Step 1
Combine all ingredients in a bowl and knead the dough.
Step 2
Tear off a small piece from the resulting dough and roll out a flat cake about 0.5 centimeters thick.
Step 3
Let the rolled cakes "come to their senses" a little - let them lie separately from each other for 5-10 minutes.
Step 4
Lightly drizzle over a skillet with vegetable or olive oil and fry the tortillas on both sides until golden brown. Ready-made tortillas can be used in burritos and quesadillas, or as a bread substitute. Bon Appetit!
