Lovers of fish, and in particular herring, will surely like herring rolls. They are served with a side dish and sour cream sauce, which gives the dish a certain zest.
Ingredients:
- Chicken eggs - 2 pcs;
- Salted herring - 2 pcs;
- Sweet bell pepper (3 pods),
- Parsley - ½ bunch;
- Wheat flour - 20 g;
- Sour cream - 20 g;
- Granulated sugar - 1 teaspoon;
- Ground black pepper and salt.
Preparation:
- Cut the salted herring, remove all entrails, fins and head, wash thoroughly inside and out. Pour milk into a deep bowl, put the fish in it, leave to soak for about 40 minutes.
- Divide the settled fish into fillets, carefully, without breaking the shape, remove the bones. Divide each part of the fillet into 4 cm wide slices.
- Wash the bell peppers, cut the core, cut into the same slices as the herring.
- Boil chicken eggs until cooked, cool in ice water and remove the shell from them. Crumble the eggs into medium-sized pieces.
- On each slice of salted herring, put a slice of sweet pepper, roll into a roll, if necessary, fasten with toothpicks.
- Put the required amount of sour cream, all the granulated sugar, a little salt and black pepper into one bowl. Rub the mixture with a spoon until smooth.
- Fry the flour in a frying pan without adding oil until golden brown.
- Transfer the finished mixture to a saucepan, put on a quiet fire and bring to a boil, then add browned flour, keep until a thicker consistency is formed.
- Pass the sour cream sauce through a sieve and bring to a boil again.
- Put herring rolls on a dish, season with chopped eggs, sprigs of herbs and ready-made sauce. The dish is ready to serve.
