Baking in the house is a sacred thing, especially when there are children in the family. Therefore, we bring to your attention a very tasty and original poppy seed cake, which is quickly prepared and also quickly baked. It will delight all household members with its crisp crust, tender and sweet dough, and the sourness of kiwi.
Ingredients:
- 250 ml of kefir;
- 1 teaspoon of baking soda (no slide);
- 2 chicken eggs;
- 500 g flour;
- 180 g cane sugar;
- sunflower oil;
- 6 kiwi;
- 50 g poppy seeds.
Preparation:
- Peel the kiwi and cut into slices approximately half a centimeter thick.
- Rinse the poppy thoroughly (preferably in a sieve), add hot water, cover and leave to stand for a quarter of an hour. During this time, he should be worn out.
- After 15 minutes, fold the steamed poppy seeds onto a sieve and leave for 5-10 minutes to drain excess liquid.
- Pour kefir into a bowl. Add soda to it, mix everything and leave to stand for 5-7 minutes. During this time, kefir should begin to bubble.
- After that, beat the eggs into the kefir mass, add sugar and poppy seeds. Note that you can take regular sugar, but cane sugar will give baked goods an unforgettable aroma.
- Stir everything thoroughly with a whisk.
- Then add sifted flour there, stir again, pour in a tablespoon of oil and mix again, only with a spoon.
- Grease a baking dish (preferably rectangular) with oil.
- Pour the prepared dough into a mold and flatten.
- Stick the kiwi slices into the dough so that they are very close to each other.
- Send the cake for half an hour to the oven preheated to 180 degrees.
- After this time, tighten the form with foil and bake its contents for another quarter of an hour. Check the readiness of the test with a wooden match or a toothpick.
- Remove the finished poppy seed cake from the oven, cool slightly, shake it out of the mold, cut and serve.
