- - 1 carrot;
- - 1 egg;

- - 2 eggs;
- - 1 teaspoon of salt;
- - 500 g of wheat flour;
- - 35 g of sunflower oil;
- - 2/3 cup boiled water.

Step 1
Wash and gut the pike. Then skin it off. To easily remove the skin, use a meat hammer to beat off the pike. After removing the skin, separate the meat from the bones. Make minced fish pulp.
Step 2
Peel two onions. Pass one onion through a meat grinder and add to the minced pike. Chop the second onion finely and fry in a large amount of vegetable oil. When the onions are tender, add the finely grated carrots. Pike dumplings can be made without carrots, but carrots give the fish mince a beautiful color, and also emphasize the taste of pike.
Step 3
Add fried onions and carrots to the minced meat. Also add egg, pepper and salt. Be sure to add a little mineral water and one teaspoon of sugar to the minced pike. This is a very important point that will determine the taste of the entire dish. Whisk the minced fish in a blender for lightness. Then place the minced meat in the refrigerator.
Step 4
Make fish dumplings dough. The dough for pike dumplings is prepared as for ordinary meat dumplings. Combine flour, eggs, water and salt. Add two tablespoons of vegetable oil to soften the dough. Knead the dough well, add a little flour if necessary. The result should be an elastic and plastic dough. Let the dough sit for a while by covering it with a clean towel.
Step 5
Divide the finished dough into several pieces. Roll each piece out thinly, and then use a thin glass to cut out the circles. Put more minced fish on each circle, and then mold the dumpling itself.
Step 6
Boil the dumplings in plenty of water, pre-salt and add bay leaves. Place fish dumplings in boiling water. Cook the dumplings for 5 minutes from the moment the water boils again. Remove the ready-made dumplings with a slotted spoon, put on plates and serve with sour cream or mayonnaise.
