Stuffed peppers are a bright decoration of the table. It is prepared with various fillings. The most common stuffing of stuffed peppers is minced meat with rice.

Step 1
Take rice (it is better to take long grain) and pour it into a saucepan. Pour cold water over a saucepan and put it on fire. Stirring well, cook for 10-15 minutes until half cooked. Peel and chop the onion. Then you need to grate the carrots.

Preheat a skillet, add oil and sauté the onions until golden brown. Add finely grated carrots to the onion. Stir well and fry over high heat for 5-10 minutes. Next, take the already cooked minced meat. Place it in a small bowl and knead it lightly with your hands. Add almost cooked rice to the minced meat. Then add more frying onions and carrots to this mixture. Sprinkle everything with salt and black pepper to taste and mix thoroughly.

Your next step is to prepare the sauce. Stuffed peppers will be stewed in this sauce. To do this, mix sour cream, tomato paste, salt and water in one bowl.

So, then we prepare the pepper for stuffing. First, remove the seeds and stalks by making a circular cut along the top of the pepper. Pulling the stalk, remove the seeds from the pepper without any problems, also remove the partitions. Then rinse the peeled peppers well with water. Do the same for the other 13 peppers.

The pepper is now ready for stuffing. Fill each pepper to the brim with the filling. Arrange the cooked peppers in a large saucepan. Pour the sauce over the stuffed peppers so that they are two-thirds covered. You can add water if necessary.
Step 6
Place bay leaves in a saucepan. Place the pot of stuffed peppers over the fire. Bring to a boil and simmer pepper for 30-40 minutes over medium heat, covered. The dish is ready! Now you can safely serve the prepared stuffed peppers on the table.
