The tradition of making churros cookies originated and developed in Spain. Usually sweet fried choux pastry is traditionally served for breakfast.
It is necessary
- - 180 g flour;
- - 1 protein;
- - 250 ml of water;
- - 125 ml of milk;
- - 0.5 teaspoons of salt;
- - 2 tbsp. tablespoons of sugar;
- - vegetable oil (for frying);
Instructions
Step 1
Mix milk, water, sugar, salt in a deep container, bring to a boil, add sifted flour and stir until smooth. After removing from heat, let cool slightly and knead the dough for 2-3 minutes.
Step 2
Add the egg white and knead the dough again until smooth. You should have a smooth, fairly firm dough.
Step 3
Heat a large amount of oil in a skillet (you can use a deep fryer) and fry the horseshoe sticks until golden brown. Squeeze out the dough in the shape of sticks or horseshoes using a pastry syringe with an asterisk attachment and "cut" the end with scissors.
Step 4
Cook the first 3-4 pieces on the board first and while they are roasting, do the following. Once accustomed, churros can be squeezed directly into boiling oil.
Step 5
Then, after taking out, spread on paper towels to remove excess oil. Classic churros is not sprinkled with anything, but they are often served lightly sprinkled with sugar or powder.
