In Eastern Europe and Germany, noodles are preferred to be served with sour cream sauce. Lemon juice and poppy seeds give this dish an original taste.

To prepare 4 servings, you will need:

- a pair of medium-sized onions;

- 250 g of mushrooms;

- 350 grams of egg noodles;

1/3 cup plain yogurt

- 1/3 cup sour cream;

- 1/3 cup lemon juice;

- 2 tbsp. l. butter;

- salt, pepper, table poppy, garlic.

Mushroom sauce will add flavor to this dish. It can be prepared in advance and stored in the refrigerator. All that remains is to cook the noodles. In this case, dinner will be ready in just 10 minutes.

First of all, you should finely chop the onion. Mushrooms can also be cut in advance, but not very finely. When the onions and mushrooms are cooked, you can put a deep skillet over medium heat and pour two tablespoons of oil into it. Better than olive, but you can also sunflower. When the oil is hot, add the onion and garlic, finely chopped or squeezed through a garlic dish. Fry until golden brown. This will happen in about 5 minutes. You should not overcook the onions, as all the taste can be lost.

When the onions are golden brown, add two tablespoons of butter to the skillet. After melting, add the mushrooms. All this is stirred and fried for about 5 minutes. The mushrooms should be soft. Now you can add lemon juice, salt, pepper to the mushrooms and bring it all to a boil without forgetting to stir. When it boils, cover the skillet with a lid and let it rise over low heat.

Sour cream, yogurt, poppy seeds and lemon zest should be mixed in a small bowl. This sauce goes well with many other dishes. You can store it in the refrigerator.

Now all that remains is to cook the noodles. Simmer in boiling, salted water for about 10 minutes. The cooking time is indicated on the package. This time is also enough for the preparation of the mushroom mixture.

When the noodles are cooked, they should be thrown into a colander. If desired, the noodles can be rinsed under cold running water to remove the gluten. From the colander, the noodles are laid out in a large, deep plate. Put mushrooms and sour cream sauce on top. All this should be mixed and put on plates. The dish is ready.

When serving, sprinkle with herbs on top of the noodles. But this is optional and to taste.

The recipe is convenient because sauces can be prepared in advance and stored in the refrigerator. Before mixing with the noodles, it will be enough to reheat them in the microwave.
