Carrot puree soup with red lentils can be a great breakfast for a child, only then it is better to exclude spices from the recipe. If you love everything spicy, then this healthy and tasty soup will appeal to you too!
It is necessary
- For four servings:
- - carrots - 600 g;
- - red lentils - 140 g;
- - milk - 130 ml;
- - vegetable broth - 1 l;
- - olive oil - 2 tbsp. spoons;
- - cumin seeds - 2 tsp;
- - natural yoghurt chili flakes - to taste.
Instructions
Step 1
Rinse the carrots, rub on a coarse grater. You do not need to peel carrots.
Step 2
Heat a large saucepan over moderate heat, add cumin seeds (cumin), chili flakes, and fry until aromatic. Transfer half of the seeds to a plate.
Step 3
Add carrots, olive oil, broth, milk, and red lentils to the seeds in a saucepan. Bring to a boil, reduce heat, cook for 15 minutes - during this time the lentils will become soft.
Step 4
Remove pan from heat and blend with hand blender until smooth. Pour the carrot soup into bowls, put some yogurt in each bowl, sprinkle with fried spices. Bon Appetit!
