It is necessary

  • - 5 pieces. large carrots;
  • - 4 things. a clove of garlic;
  • - 1 PC. onions;
  • - 150 g brown lentils;
  • - 20 ml of vegetable or olive oil;
  • - 5 g dry thyme;
  • - 5 g ground nutmeg;
  • - 50 g of green basil;
  • - 1 liter of milk;
  • - salt and pepper to taste.

Instructions

Step 1

Take five large carrots, wash well, cut the leaves and peel. Cut the peeled carrots into thin slices. Wash and peel the onion and garlic, chop finely. You can use a blender.

Step 2

Take a large skillet with a thick bottom, heat well, add vegetable oil and fry the onion until golden brown. Add garlic, thyme and nutmeg to the onion. Fry for a couple more minutes, remove and cool.

Step 3

Pour water into a small saucepan, add a little salt and bring to a boil. Place the carrots in boiling water. Rinse lentils and add to carrots. Cook, stirring occasionally, for twenty minutes, then add the sautéed onions with spices and cook until tender. The carrots should be slightly boiled, the lentils should become very soft.

Step 4

Remove the finished soup from the stove and pour into another bowl. Let the soup cool completely. Whisk the soup in a large blender cup. Pour into the skillet again and heat slightly. Serve warm, garnished with herbs, grated cheese, or boiled vegetable pieces. For example, inflorescences of boiled cauliflower, it goes well with carrots and lentils.
