Soup made with lentils will be a great addition to your table. Such a dish is easy enough to prepare, and you will need a minimum of time. The combination of black pepper, basil, oregano, tarragon and garlic with tomatoes gives the dish a sophisticated aroma.

- - red lentil (110 g);
- –Canned tomatoes (340 g);
- - garlic (4-5 cloves);

- - fresh carrot (1 pc.);
- - olive oil (15 ml);

Instructions
Step 1
The lentils should be pre-rinsed under running water. Then pour cold water, place in a saucepan and close with a lid. Leave the cereal in the container for 20-30 minutes to infuse. After this time, place the lentils on the burner and cook over low heat until half cooked.
Step 2
Take a deep frying pan, put it on the stove, add oil. Next, put peeled cloves of garlic in hot oil and fry a little until a fragrant smell appears.
Step 3
Chop the onions in the form of cubes, transfer to the pan. Cook for about 3 more minutes, until the onions are translucent. While the onion-garlic mixture is cooking, take a carrot, peel the top layer of the skin and chop it into small pieces with a blender.
Step 4
Add water and the contents of the pan to the finished lentils again and stir, then transfer the canned tomatoes. Salt, pepper, season with spices. Simmer the soup for about 15 minutes. As a result, mix everything thoroughly and leave the soup to cool for a while.
Step 5
Optionally, add sour cream or natural yogurt to the lentil soup. The dish is served with toasted croutons or croutons.
