A delicious dish of Russian national cuisine. Lentils are not only a tasty product, but also very healthy, famous for their high protein and iron content. Any housewife can easily prepare a dish in an hour.
It is necessary
- - 200 g of black lentils (but you can use any);
- - 1 sweet bell pepper;
- - 2 medium-sized onions;
- - 50-60 g of dried tomatoes;
- - 3-4 cloves of garlic;
- - 2-3 tbsp. vegetable oil;
- - 2 carrots;
- - black pepper;
- - salt;
- - red hot peppers to taste.
Instructions
Step 1
Prepare all the ingredients you need at the kitchen counter. Rinse and peel any vegetables you have. Grate the carrots on a coarse grater. Finely chop the bell pepper and onion.
Step 2
Start frying the onions first. When the onion is golden, add the carrots to it. Chop the tomatoes and chop the garlic.
Step 3
Add dried tomatoes and peppers to a pan with onions and carrots, pour half a glass of boiling water, cover and let simmer for 3 minutes. Then add lentils, pour boiling water over everything and cook over low heat.
Step 4
Add garlic, salt and pepper to your taste 5 minutes until cooked through. Lay out the finished dish on plates and can be served to both guests and your family.
