Each country prepares moussaka with different ingredients. The main ingredient in the Bulgarian recipe for this dish is a mixture of potatoes and minced meat.

Instructions
Step 1
Fry the minced meat in olive oil. Season with paprika, cumin, salt and pepper. Peel, wash and dice the potatoes. Add to the minced meat and fry for 2-3 minutes.

Mix the tomato sauce with chopped thyme, add to the minced meat. Then pour water to cover the minced meat and simmer for 15 minutes.
Step 3
Put everything in a baking dish. Mix yogurt with egg, pour into a mold. Bake for 30 minutes at 170 ° C. Garnish with herbs when serving.
