Cabbage rolls are a dish of Middle Eastern, Turkish and European cuisine in the form of minced meat with boiled rice, wrapped in cabbage leaves. Cooking cabbage rolls is relatively easy.

- Cabbage - 1 head of cabbage;
- minced meat - 500 gr;
- rice - 0.7 cups;
- onion - 1 pc;
- parsley;
- carrots - 1 pc;
- tomatoes - 2-3 pcs;
- salt;
- garlic - 1-2 cloves;
- freshly ground pepper
- for the sauce:
- sour cream - 4-5 tbsp. l;
- ketchup - 2 tbsp. l;
- water or broth - 500 ml;
- salt.
Instructions
Step 1
Wash the cabbage and gently disassemble into leaves.
Step 2
Boil the leaves in salted boiling water for 2 minutes, they should become soft.
Step 3
Cut off the thickened leaves.
Step 4
Prepare the minced meat.
Step 5
Peel the onion and chop finely.
Step 6
Wash and peel the carrots, grate.
Step 7
Fry carrots and onions until pulp.
Step 8
Wash and chop the herbs.
Step 9
Boil rice until half cooked.
Step 10
Wash the tomatoes and cut into small cubes.
Step 11
Peel the garlic and pass through a garlic extractor.
Step 12
Combine minced meat, garlic, fried onions, rice, tomatoes, herbs, peppers, add salt and stir everything.
Step 13
Place the minced meat on the cooked cabbage rice and fold the mince leaf into an envelope.
Step 14
Prepare a skillet and place the cabbage rolls to fry.
Step 15
Let the prepared cabbage rolls stand for another 15 minutes under the lid.
