This cake is not so named because of its size. They can feed a large family at a picnic. "Crumb" is the top layer of the pie. A variant of this layer is as follows: you need to freeze that part of the dough, which is intended for sprinkling, and then grate it on a coarse grater over the pie, it turns out very funny.
It is necessary
- - 2 eggs;
- - 1 cup of sugar;
- - 1 bag of vanilla sugar;
- - 180 g butter;
- - 2–2, 5 glasses of flour;
- - 1 tsp. baking powder;
- - 300 g of currants (if it is not the season for berries, currant jam is also suitable);
- - a pinch of salt.
Instructions
Step 1
Melt the butter.
Step 2
Whisk eggs with sugar, salt and vanilla sugar until frothy. It is better and faster to do this with a mixer, and not with a whisk.
Step 3
Mix the beaten eggs with melted butter and stir.
Step 4
Add baking powder, and now, to avoid the formation of lumps, stirring constantly, begin to add flour. It will get harder and harder to stir.
Step 5
Knead the dough well.
Step 6
With wet hands, spread 2/3 of the prepared dough on a baking sheet.
Step 7
Send the rest to the freezer to cool.
Step 8
Put the currant berries crushed with a fork on the dough (if the currant is too sour, add 2 tablespoons of sugar to it, stir).
Step 9
Next, grate the dough from the refrigerator on a coarse grater over the pie, evenly distributing it over the currants.
Step 10
Place the currant pie in a preheated oven and bake for 20-30 minutes.
