Fried cheese has long become a favorite delicacy in Europe, and here, as a snack, it appears only occasionally. And in vain! A hearty and at the same time very tasty appetizer goes well with vegetable and fruit plates and goes well with various sauces.
It is necessary
- - 300 g frozen lingonberries
- - 1 kg Camembert
- - 1 red onion
- - salt, cinnamon, chili pepper
- - 3 tbsp. brown sugar
- - fresh ginger root
- - vegetable oil
- - Apple vinegar
Instructions
Step 1
Peel the onion and chop it with feathers, fry in hot vegetable oil until golden brown. Peel the ginger, chop into narrow thin strips, chili - into rings.
Step 2
Add the ginger and chili to the onion and cook for another minute. Defrost the lingonberries a little and add them to the fried vegetables. Simmer the mixture for a few minutes, stirring continuously.
Step 3
Add sugar, pour in vinegar and simmer for another 5-6 minutes. Season with salt and cinnamon. Remove the resulting sauce from the stove, transfer to a bowl, cool and refrigerate for 3-4 hours to cool completely.
Step 4
Place the cheese on a hot grill just before serving your snack. When the camembert turns brown, transfer it to a plate, place the lingonberry chutney next to it and serve immediately. The cheese must be hot and the lingonberry sauce must be cold.
