    • fresh cabbage - 400 g;
    • sauerkraut - 400 g;
    • carrots - 2 pcs.;
    • onions - 3 pcs.;

    • vegetable oil - 50 ml.

Instructions

Step 1

Take a large saucepan and pour water into it, put it on the stove. Rinse pork legs under water, dry with napkins or a towel. Tie the product in a circle with threads so that the meat does not come off the bones during cooking. Dip them into the water. Put the pre-peeled carrots and one whole onion there. Simmer for 3-4 hours over low heat, periodically skimming off the foam.

Peel the carrots and onions, cut into small cubes with a knife. Fry the vegetables in a pan with the addition of vegetable oil until golden brown. You can do this in a saucepan, where you will bake the legs later. Cool it down.

Step 3

Chop fresh cabbage with a knife or a special shredder and mix with sauerkraut. Peel the sausages from the film and cut into rings. Pour oil into a skillet and fry until golden brown. Mix with vegetable mixture, to which add onions and carrots beforehand.

Step 4

Remove the pork legs from the broth and remove the strings. In an enamel bowl, combine honey, sauce, beer and mustard. You can do this with a whisk or mixer, then the mixture will be airy and more uniform in composition. Coat the skin of the legs with the resulting composition and leave for 20 minutes. Then put the meat on the vegetable mixture.

Step 5

Light the oven, heat it to 200 degrees, place a heat-resistant dish with legs on the wire rack and bake for 40 minutes. Then remove and place on a dish. Serve with lemon, French fries or pickles. Pork legs are good both cold and hot.
