Crab sticks are a tasty and very economical product, which is especially important when drawing up a holiday menu. Are you expecting guests or want to pamper your loved ones? Make spicy crab rolls, sauté sticks in batter, or add to a light or hearty salad.
Crab rolls with cheese filling
Ingredients:
- 300 g of chilled crab sticks;
- 250 g of unsweetened hard cheese;
- 2-4 cloves of garlic;
- 80 g of mayonnaise;
- 20 g of dill.
Put the cheese in the freezer for 10 minutes, grate on a fine grater. Peel the garlic and grind it in a mortar or a special press. Chop the dill greens. Stir all the filling ingredients into the mayonnaise. Unscrew the crab sticks gently, spread the hot cheese paste over the entire surface and roll back. Put the rolls in the refrigerator for 15 minutes, cut each crosswise into 2-3 pieces and place on a flat dish. Serve crab rolls as a snack.
Crab sticks in batter
Ingredients:
- 250 g of crab sticks;
- 1 chicken egg;
- 50 ml of light beer;
- 100 g flour;
- half a lemon;
- 1/3 tsp each ground black pepper and salt;
- vegetable oil.
Drizzle the crab sticks with lemon juice, season with black pepper and marinate for 15 minutes. Beat the egg with a whisk until light, pour in beer, add salt and gradually add flour, stirring the mixture until smooth. Heat vegetable oil. Dip the sticks into the batter with a pair of forks or tongs and place in the skillet. Fry them until golden brown over medium heat on all sides. Make a sauce for the dish or serve it like that, it will still be delicious.
Low Calorie Crab Stick Salad
Ingredients:
- 150 g of crab sticks;
- 125 g feta;
- 1 cucumber;
- 1 tomato;
- 2 green lettuce leaves;
- 15 g of parsley;
- a quarter of a lemon;
- 80 ml of olive oil;
- 1/3 tsp ground black pepper;
- salt.
Cut crab sticks, tomato, cucumber and feta into cubes and combine in a salad bowl. Add finely chopped lettuce and parsley leaves. Squeeze the juice from a quarter of lemon into a separate small container, stir in the olive oil, ground pepper and shake. Pour the resulting dressing over the crab stick salad, salt and stir. This is a great option for a light lunch or a festive snack.
Hearty salad with crab sticks
Ingredients:
- 250 g of crab sticks;
- 1 can of canned red beans (440 g);
- 1 bell pepper;
- 2 tomatoes;
- 100 g of hard cheese;
- 1 clove of garlic;
- 80 g of mayonnaise;
- salt.
Cut crab sticks, tomato into slices, bell pepper into strips. Drain the beans. Grate the garlic and cheese on a fine grater. Mix everything with mayonnaise and salt to taste. The dish is perfect as an everyday lunch or dinner, or as an interesting salad for a festive table.
