Jellied is a mandatory attribute of the New Year's table. However, you can cook aspic from fish, meat or chicken for any holiday. It is also suitable if your family is already a little tired of the usual chicken dishes, and you want something new.

It is necessary

    • 1 kg of chicken meat
    • 50 g gelatin
    • 400 ml water
    • carrot
    • large onion
    • pickles
    • some salt
    • pan
    • Piece of gauze
    • Molds

Instructions

Step 1

Prepare gelatin. Fill it with water and leave it for a couple of hours to swell. Some types of gelatin swell faster, so read the instructions on the bag first.

Step 2

Place the chopped chicken in the pot. Peel the onions and carrots and place them whole in a saucepan. Pour the contents of a saucepan with water, salt and boil the broth.

Step 3

Remove the chicken from the broth and separate the meat from the bones. Cut the meat into slices. Cut the pickled cucumbers into slices as well. Cut out different figures from boiled carrots.

Step 4

Strain the broth through cheesecloth or a very fine sieve. Put the prepared gelatin in it and put it on the stove again. Heat the broth with gelatin over medium heat until the gelatin is completely dissolved, but do not bring the mixture to a boil. You will get jelly.

Step 5

Place the chicken pieces in special tins. Pour a thin layer of jelly there. Put the decorations in the jelly - cucumber circles, carrot stars and everything else. Place the molds in the refrigerator and wait for the jelly to harden.

Step 6

Put the next layer of meat, carrots and cucumbers in the molds and fill it all with another layer of jelly again. Then the molds must be put back in the refrigerator and wait until they solidify completely. Several more coats may be needed. Let the jelly freeze before pouring on a new layer. And so on until the form is completed. After that, you need to let the jelly finally freeze in the refrigerator.

Step 7

Before serving the aspic on the table, dip the mold for a few seconds into a container of hot water. At the same time, water should not get into the filler. Place the aspic on a serving dish, turning the mold over.
