Chicken liver is used for this dish, however, if desired, you can also use beef or pork. This beef stroganoff is prepared very quickly and quite easily. Despite this, the dish turns out to be incredibly tender and melts in your mouth.
Ingredients:
- 0.5 kg of chicken liver;
- 2 onions;
- 150 g 20% sour cream;
- 150 g of water;
- 1 tsp salt;
- 1 tablespoon wheat flour;
- A pair of lavrushka leaves;
- Sunflower oil;
- Ground black pepper.
Preparation:
- First you need to rinse the liver thoroughly in cold water (it is best to use running water). After the excess liquid drains from it, the liver must be cut into blocks, the length of which will be at least 4 cm and the width - 1 cm.
- Pour vegetable oil into a frying pan and place it on the stove. After the oil is heated, the heat must be reduced to medium, and the liver cubes must be added to it. They should be roasted for at least 6 minutes and should be stirred regularly.
- Prepare your bow. To do this, the onion should be peeled and cut into fairly thin half rings. After 6 minutes, the chopped onion is added to the pan with the liver, and the resulting mass is fried for another 5 minutes, while the heat should be reduced to almost a minimum. Then sprinkle the liver with sifted flour and mix everything thoroughly. Continue frying for a couple more minutes.
- Spices and salt are added to the almost finished liver. By the way, you can add absolutely any spices to this dish according to your own taste. Then you should put sour cream and pour water, which must be hot. It should be noted that the fat content of sour cream should be 20% (more is possible, less is not).
- Close the pan with a lid and simmer its contents for at least 10 minutes. In the event that the sauce thickens too much, then a small amount of water can be poured into it, which must be necessarily hot.
- This completes the preparation of this appetizing dish. As a side dish, you can serve mashed potatoes, pasta, buckwheat porridge and so on.
