Spaghetti is not only tasty, but also healthy, as it contains a large amount of B vitamins. They are good both as an independent dish and as a side dish. To truly enjoy their taste, you need to learn all the intricacies of cooking.
Instructions
Step 1
Calculate how much spaghetti you need. If they will be served only as a side dish, then the portion for one person should be 50 grams. If spaghetti becomes the main course, start with 100 grams each.
Step 2
Choose the most suitable cooking utensil. Best of all, if it is a rectangular pan with high sides, containing at least three liters of water. The bottom of the pot should be wide so that the spaghetti feels free and does not stick together during cooking.
Step 3
Fill the pot 2/3 full with water. This much water is needed because spaghetti will absorb a lot of liquid and will cook properly if given enough space. Plus, they won't foam or run away.
Step 4
Place a pot of water on fire and bring to a boil. Season with salt to taste. Place the spaghetti in boiling water. Do not break them under any circumstances. The ideal length for spaghetti should be at least 25 centimeters. If the spaghetti is not completely in the pot and is sticking out, wait 30 seconds for the spaghetti to soften and gently place the remaining ends in the water. Use a wooden spoon or spatula to do this to avoid cutting the spaghetti with the sharp edges of metal utensils.
Step 5
During the first two minutes of cooking, the spaghetti must be constantly stirring so that they do not stick together in the future. Once the water boils again, reduce heat to medium. In no case go to another room, otherwise the spaghetti may be overcooked and the dish will be spoiled. Stir from time to time and check to make sure they are done.
Step 6
Read how much spaghetti is supposed to cook, according to the recommendations on the package, and reduce this amount of time by one minute. Then you get spaghetti cooked al dente.
Step 7
Turn off the heat and discard the spaghetti in a colander. At this time, they will be cooked under the influence of their own steam and will become completely cooked. Rinsing the spaghetti is not recommended. Drizzle with olive oil and serve.
