Thrifty housewives often have jam, which spoils before being eaten. But this does not mean that the can should be thrown away. Fermented jam can be used to make delicious homemade wine. You can also make such wine from fresh jam, and you can use any (strawberry, currant, cherry, etc.). This wine will retain the aroma of fresh berries and has a bright summer taste. Making it is not at all difficult: you only need a few ingredients and a little patience.

- • sugar - 1 glass;
- • water - 1.5 l;
- • raisins - 1 tablespoon
- For a quick recipe for homemade jam wine, you will also need:
- • rice - 200 g;
- • live yeast - 20 g.
Instructions
Step 1
First, stir the jam and water (warm but not hot) in equal amounts. Add half a glass of sugar and all the raisins (1 tablespoon). Pour the resulting mixture into a 5 liter bottle (it is important that it takes up less than 75% of the capacity).

Put a rubber glove on the neck of the bottle and make a hole in it through which all excess gas will escape.

You can understand that the fermentation process is complete with a glove. When it is deflated, the wine can be filtered. To do this, strain it through a piece of gauze.

Now you need to add half a glass of sugar to the filtered drink. After that, the wine must be removed and infused in a dark place for two months. Be patient, this is the time the drink needs to ripen.

Pour the wine gently through a straw. Try to keep the sediment at the bottom of the container and not get into the new bottle.

Cork the wine and store in a cool, dark place. The drink is ready to drink and can be stored for a very long time.

You can make wine from jam without adding sugar. To do this, the jam must be mixed with water in equal proportions and boiled for 3-4 minutes, stirring continuously. Then remove from heat and let cool. Pour into bottles, leaving about a fifth of the container free, and add the raisins there. Put rubber gloves on the bottles and let the wine ferment. When the fermentation process is complete, the wine is bottled, which must be placed in a dark place. After 1, 5-2 months, the wine is ready.

There is another recipe for homemade wine made from sugar-free jam. For it, you need a three-liter jar, which you need to disinfect: wash with soda, rinse with warm water. Put jam and raisins in this jar, add boiled water. Mix everything, close the lid and put the jar in a warm place for 7-10 days. Then strain the liquid through cheesecloth, pour into a new container, put on a rubber glove on top and leave to ferment for 1-1.5 months. When the glove falls off, pour the wine into bottles and leave for 2 months in a dark place.

If you don't want to wait a few months, you can use the Instant Wine recipe. To do this, put a liter of jam, 200 g of rice, 20 g of live yeast in a cleanly washed bottle and fill it with warm water. Now we put a glove on the neck and leave it to ferment in a warm place for 2-3 days. When the glove falls off and the solution becomes clear, the fermentation process is complete and the wine can be bottled. Make sure that no cloudy sediment gets into the container.

If the jam is old, but not fermented, this recipe will do. Put a liter of candied jam in a 3 liter bottle. Pour 120 grams of raisins there and pour warm, up to 40 degrees, water. Close the container tightly with a cork wrapped in cotton wool and leave to ferment in a warm place. After about 10 days, open the bottle, strain the liquid into a clean container, put a rubber medical glove on the throat and leave for another 1.5 months in the same place, protected from light and draft. After 40 days, the wine can be poured into a container using a thin hose, tightly corked the bottle and put horizontally in the storage area. After two months, the wine is ready, it can be served at the table. The drink can turn out to be foamy, so you should open it with caution.

Wine can be made from any jam, but raspberry, strawberry, apple, currant, and cherry preserves are best.

In order for homemade jam wine to retain its taste, it is necessary to follow the rules for its storage.

First, use only clean bottles when making wine. It is important to ensure that all containers are thoroughly disinfected at all stages of the manufacture and storage of the drink. Wine will be better stored in dark glass containers.

The ideal temperature for jam wine is 10-12 degrees. Under these conditions, the wine will retain its fresh taste and fruity aroma.
