Bolognese spaghetti or spaghetti with Bolognese sauce is an appetizing dish that is perfect for a festive table and as a regular everyday dinner. Bolognese sauce has a spicy, slightly sweet taste, so it will appeal to both adults and children.
Ingredients:
- Beef or other minced meat - 450 g;
- Slice of bacon;
- Vegetable oil;
- Tomato paste - 1 tbsp the spoon;
- Canned tomatoes - 225 g;
- Garlic;
- Onion;
- Basil;
- Ground salt and pepper;
- At the heart of the dish is spaghetti - 450 g.
Preparation:
- Chop the onion into small cubes, peel the garlic and pass through a garlic press.
- Cut the bacon crust and chop it into small pieces.
- Heat vegetable oil in a deep frying pan. Lightly fry the prepared onions and garlic in hot oil. They should take on a rosy shade and soften.
- Add bacon to the fry and then add ground beef. Loosen with a fork and spread the mixture over the pan. While stirring, fry the minced meat on all sides. It should take on a brownish tint.
- Add canned tomatoes, then tomato paste and a pinch of basil. Add pepper and salt to taste. Stir well, cover the pan with a lid. Saute over low heat for 20 minutes.
- Next, boil the spaghetti. They should be firm, yet soft and crumbly enough. To do this, heat the water in a large saucepan, salt it and pour in a spoonful of vegetable oil, which will prevent the spaghetti from sticking together.
- When the water boils, dip the spaghetti into it. It is important that the spaghetti stays long. They need to be lowered into the pan gradually, gently pushing: dipped in boiling water, the ends will soften, thus, the whole spaghetti will be in the pan. It is necessary to boil spaghetti no more than 10 minutes - this is enough for them to become soft. Pour the spaghetti into a colander and wait, all excess liquid should drain from them.
- Put the spaghetti on a warm dish, pour over the sauce and stir.
Serve Bolognese spaghetti with grated cheese and lettuce, which will add freshness to the dish.
