The gooseberry season has come, compotes, jams, preserves, and pastries are prepared with it. But it can also be included in the ingredients of meat dishes. Pork with gooseberry sauce turns out to be juicy and appetizing. Gooseberries add a spicy flavor to the dish.
It is necessary
- - pork pulp 800 g;
- - gooseberries 400 g;
- - cream 20% 200 ml;
- - sugar 2 tablespoons;
- - flour 2, 5 tablespoons;
- - parsley, dill, green onions, 5 sprigs;
- - vegetable oil, pepper, salt.
Instructions
Step 1
Pork (preferably take a chop), wash, dry with paper towels, cut into large pieces, cut off excess fat, season with pepper and salt, and leave for 10 minutes.
Step 2
Dip each piece of meat in flour, heat vegetable oil in a pan. Fry the pork pieces in it over high heat for 4 minutes on each side. Remove skillet from heat, cover and set aside.
Step 3
Gooseberries (preferably red) sort out, wash, remove the tails and cut each berry in half. Place in a saucepan, add 2 tablespoons each sugar and water. Put on fire and, stirring constantly, bring to a boil. Reduce heat to medium and simmer for 5 minutes. Then pour in the cream and cook for another 3 minutes. Season to taste.
Step 4
Preheat oven to 200C. Transfer the pork to a baking dish, top with gooseberry sauce, sprinkle with chopped herbs. Place the dish in the oven. Bake for 30 minutes. Make sure that the pieces of meat do not burn on top. Boiled rice can be served as a side dish.
