Summer day feeds the year. This folk wisdom is relevant to this day. Having worked in the summer and prepared berries, vegetables and fruits, in winter you can easily feed your family tasty, healthy and varied. What to cook from frozen berries?
It is necessary
- Cherry Pie:
- - 1 yolk;
- - 1 egg;
- - 3 tbsp. Sahara;
- - 100 g of butter;
- - 2 cups of flour;
- - zest of 1 orange;
- - 2 tbsp. starch;
- - 50 g of icing sugar;
- - 2 tbsp. water;
- - 500 g frozen pitted cherries.
- Berry yogurt:
- - 150 g frozen berries;
- - 75-100 g of yogurt;
- - 0.5 tsp honey;
- - 2-3 tbsp. corn flakes.
- Berry compote:
- - 500 g of frozen berries;
- - 3 liters of water;
- - sugar to taste.
Instructions
Step 1
Cherry Pie. Grind the flour and butter until smooth. Add grated orange zest, yolk, sugar and water to it. Mix everything well.
Step 2
Sprinkle flour on the table, knead the dough on it a little and roll it into a ball. Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and refrigerate for 30-40 minutes.
Step 3
Roll half of the dough into a layer, place it on a greased baking sheet or lined with baking paper.
Step 4
Spread the cherries evenly over the dough without thawing.
Step 5
Mix the starch and icing sugar. Sift the mixture over the cherries through a strainer. Sugar will give the filling the necessary sweetness, and the starch will prevent the cherry juice from spreading.
Step 6
Roll out the other half of the dough. Cover the berries with it and pinch the pie, having previously moistened the edges of the lower layer with water.
Step 7
Lubricate the surface of the cake with a beaten egg and bake it in the oven until golden brown at 200 ° C for about 30-35 minutes.
Step 8
Cool the finished pie and cut it into portions.
Step 9
Berry yogurt. Defrost berries at room temperature or on the bottom shelf of the refrigerator. Mash them with a fork or grind with a blender. Put the prepared berries in a bowl.
Step 10
Mix yogurt with honey, pour over berries.
Step 11
Sprinkle the berry yogurt with cornflakes. Delicate and delicious dessert is ready.
Step 12
Frozen berry compote. Place the berries in a saucepan without thawing them. You can cook compote both from a mixture of berries and from berries of the same type. Add cold water so that it does not reach the edge of the pot by 3-4 cm.
Step 13
Bring contents of a saucepan to a boil, reduce heat. The compote should not boil too much.
Step 14
Sweeten the compote to taste. If the berries are very sweet, add citric acid on the tip of a knife.
Step 15
Cook the compote for 10-15 minutes, depending on the size of the berries. Ready-made compote can be consumed both cold and hot.
