The pie is tasty and aromatic due to almonds, candied fruits and dried fruits. This cake will be a decoration for any festive table.
It is necessary
- For the cake dough:
- - 100 g of ground almonds,
- - 2 cups of flour,
- - 100 g butter,
- - 30 g icing sugar,
- - 1 egg yolk.
- For the filling on the cake:
- - 4 eggs,
- - 2 tbsp. flour,
- - ½ kg of ricotta,
- - lemon zest and juice,
- - 1 tsp vanilla sugar
- - 150 g of a mixture of dried fruits and candied fruits,
- - 100 g of icing sugar,
- - 100 g of ground almonds.
Instructions
Step 1
Place flour, almonds, icing sugar and butter in a blender bowl. Chop everything into crumbs.
Step 2
Add the almond-flavored yolk and knead the dough.
Step 3
Grease a baking dish with butter and sprinkle with flour. Place the dough on the bottom.
Step 4
Divide the eggs for the filling into whites and yolks. Whisk the yolks with vanilla sugar and powdered sugar until white.
Step 5
Add ricotta, grated zest and lemon juice. Add flour a little and stir until smooth.
Step 6
Add chopped candied and dried fruits and ground almonds. Mix everything.
Step 7
Whisk the whites into a stiff foam and mix gently with the filling.
Step 8
Put the filling on top of the dough, flatten, sprinkle with almond petals. Put in an oven preheated to 170 degrees and bake for about 1, 5 hours, until a dark golden color is formed.
Step 9
Cool the finished cake to room temperature and put it in the refrigerator for a couple of hours.
Sprinkle icing sugar on the cake before serving.
