- 2 kg of tomatoes and eggplants;

- 500 grams of bell pepper;

- 1-2 pods of hot pepper;

- 10-11 cloves of garlic;

- 100 ml vinegar 9%;

- 65-70 grams of salt;

- a glass of granulated sugar.

Cooking salad "Mother-in-law's language" for the winter

1. First of all, eggplant must be soaked to remove the bitterness. To do this, the vegetables need to be washed, cut off the tails and cut into thin tongue plates no more than half a centimeter thick. Then pour cool salted water over the sliced eggplants.

2. In the meantime, you can prepare the salad dressing. To do this, you need to wash both types of peppers and tomatoes. Peel the peppers, cut the tomatoes into 4 slices and grind everything in a meat grinder.

Important! You can use only one hot pepper so that the appetizer does not get too hot.

3. Mix the chopped vegetables in a saucepan with sugar, vinegar and salt and cook for about 25 minutes.

4. Then remove the eggplants from the water, squeeze out a little and throw into a saucepan, stir. Prepare salad "Mother-in-law's tongue" for about 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.

5. Add chopped garlic a few minutes before the end of cooking.

6. Put the hot "mother-in-law's tongue" in dry and sterile jars, roll up.

7. Wrap up the jars after placing them on the lids. Wait until cool and put in a cool room.
