Pickle with smoked brisket is a very rich and tasty dish. This is what I propose to cook.
It is necessary
- - pearl barley - 150 g;
- - smoked brisket - 600 g;
- - chicken or vegetable broth - 2 l;
- - pickled cucumber - 3 pcs;
- - cucumber pickle - 1/2 cup;
- - potatoes - 3 pcs;
- - carrots - 1 pc;
- - onion - 1 piece;
- - root celery - 50 g;
- - bay leaf - 2 pcs;
- - black peppercorns - 4 pcs;
- - salt.
Instructions
Step 1
With cereals, do the following: sort thoroughly and rinse. Then transfer the washed barley to a colander and place it in a saucepan of boiling water. Cover the cereal with a lid and leave in this state for 35 minutes. Thus, it will steam out.
Step 2
Vegetables such as carrots, celery and onions should be cut into strips. Grind the brisket into small cubes and fry for 5 minutes. Then add the chopped vegetables to it. Cook the resulting mixture for another 4 minutes.
Step 3
Transfer the fried vegetables and brisket to a saucepan. Add steamed cereals there. Pour the broth into the mixture and bring to a boil. When the broth boils, reduce the heat and cook for another 20 minutes.
Step 4
Remove the skin from the pickles. Cut the rest into strips and transfer to a separate saucepan. Add pickle to the cucumbers. The resulting mixture must be boiled.
Step 5
Potatoes, like cucumbers, should be cut into strips. Combine the chopped potatoes with the soup and cook for 5 minutes.
Step 6
The following must be added to the soup: a mixture of brine and cucumbers, peppercorns and bay leaves. Don't forget to season it with salt as well. Cook the dish for 10 minutes. Pickle with smoked brisket is ready!
