Strudel is a fairly well-known flour dish. It is prepared with various fillings. And it comes from Austria.

- wheat flour, premium grade - 300 g,
- sunflower oil, odorless - 30 ml,
- drinking water - 360 ml,
- salt - 3 g,
- quince - 3 pcs.,
- green apple - 1 pc.,
- granulated sugar - 150 g,
- bread crumbs - 1 tbsp.,
- ground cinnamon - 1 tsp,
- crushed almonds - 100 g,
- crushed star anise - 0.5 tsp,
- corn starch - 1 tsp,
- icing sugar -1 tbsp
Instructions
Step 1
Knead flour, sunflower oil, 200 ml of water and salt. Leave it covered to rest.
Step 2
Peel the quince and apple, remove the core, chop finely. Fold the quince pieces into a saucepan, add 150 g of sugar and 130 ml of water. Cook for about 10 minutes, let the quince soften. Then add apples, cinnamon and star anise. Continue simmering the mixture for 5 minutes on low heat.
Step 3
Dip the finished fruit in a colander, let the liquid drain. It does not need to be thrown away.
Step 4
Divide the rested dough into 4 parts. Roll each of them to a thin state. Sprinkle the table with flour in advance. You need to roll out the cakes carefully, helping in places with your hands.
Step 5
Place breadcrumbs on each cake, this layer will prevent the liquid from spreading from the fruit. Then a layer of almonds, then fruit.
Step 6
Roll the tortillas into rolls. Place on a baking sheet. Put baking paper on a baking sheet in advance.
Step 7
Heat the oven to 220 degrees, bake strudels for 20 minutes. They should take on a golden color.
Step 8
Dip the cornstarch in the remaining water and stir. Add this composition to the fruit liquid, boil. The syrup is ready.
Step 9
Sprinkle strudels with icing sugar and serve with the syrup.
