Not sure how to make a delicious dish from regular chicken breasts? Then this recipe is for you. A little lemon, thyme or any other fresh greens - and a delicious dinner is ready.
It is necessary
- - 450 grams of chicken breasts,
- - ground black pepper to taste,
- - salt to taste,
- - 1 tbsp. spoon of olive oil.
- For the sauce:
- - 150 ml chicken broth,
- - 2 tbsp. tablespoons of lemon juice
- - 1 tbsp. a spoonful of lemon zest,
- - 1 onion,
- - 1 clove of garlic,
- - 30 grams of butter,
- - 3 tbsp. tablespoons of heavy cream,
- - 2 teaspoons of chopped thyme (can be replaced with any herbs).
- For garnish:
- - half a lemon,
- - 4 fresh sprigs of thyme.
Instructions
Step 1
Cut two pitted chicken breasts horizontally to make two flat pieces (four in total). Rub each piece with salt, pepper, if desired, you can season with red sweet pepper.
Step 2
Heat the olive oil in a skillet and fry the chicken pieces until golden brown. Transfer the sautéed meat to an ovenproof dish and cover with foil.
Step 3
For the sauce. Pour the broth into a skillet, add two tablespoons of lemon juice, a spoonful of lemon zest, a finely chopped onion, and a chopped garlic clove. Simmer for ten minutes, then add a piece of butter (better cut into pieces), stir and pour in the cream.
Step 4
Place chicken in the sauce, sprinkle with chopped thyme or dill, stir and transfer to a mold.
Step 5
Preheat the oven to 190 degrees. Bake the meat with the sauce for ten minutes. Then remove the meat from the oven, sprinkle with fresh herbs and finely chopped lemon slices. Cover the meat dish with foil and bake for another five minutes. Transfer the finished dish to a plate, serve with lemon rings and thyme sprigs.
