According to the charter of the Orthodox Church, during fasting it is necessary to limit oneself in certain types of food. Food should be simple yet nutritious. There are many recipes for lean dishes.
It is necessary
- To prepare a lean dish "Bulgarian Pepper":
- - sweet peppers - 1 kg
- - vegetable oil - 0.5 cups
- - garlic - 1 head
- - vinegar to taste
- To prepare a lean dish "Potato pancakes":
- - potatoes - 1 kg
- - onions - 2 pcs.
- - vegetable oil - 3 tbsp. l.
- - salt pepper
- - flour - 2-3 tbsp. l.
- For the preparation of a lean sweet dish "Baked Apples":
- - apples
- - nuts
- - raisins
- - berry jam
- - cinnamon
- - icing sugar
Instructions
Step 1
Bulgarian pepper
Wash sweet bell peppers, peel and bake in the oven until tender. Remove the thin skin from the pepper and cut into small strips. Now we are preparing the garlic sauce. Peel and grind a small head of garlic in a blender along with salt, vegetable oil and 1 teaspoon of vinegar. Put the baked peppers in a glass dish and pour over the garlic sauce. Close tightly and refrigerate for 12 hours.
Step 2
Potato fritters
Wash the potatoes, peel and boil. Make mashed potatoes. Chopped garlic, peppers, fried onions, herbs can be put in the potato mass. When the puree has cooled down a little, add flour to it and mix thoroughly. We form round cakes. Preheat the pan and fry the potato pancakes in vegetable oil on both sides. Decorate with herbs before serving.
Step 3
Baked apples
Wash the apples, remove the middle. Prepare the filling. We take nuts, raisins, jam, cinnamon. Stuff the apples and place in the mold with a little water. Preheat oven and bake for about 20 minutes. Garnish with powdered sugar before serving.
