There are many options for cooking shank, however, if you cook a dish in a multicooker, then the meat will turn out to be especially aromatic and tasty. Red wine sauce will make the shank softer, and when combined with vegetables, the pork will be less nutritious.

It is necessary

  • –Shaft (1.5 kg);
  • –Large onion (1 pc.);
  • –Fresh carrots (2 pcs.);
  • –Salt to taste;
  • - garlic to taste;
  • –Pepper peas (9 pcs.);
  • - laurel leaf (4 pcs.);
  • –Red wine (220 ml);
  • –Soy sauce (5 tablespoons);
  • –Pure water (160 ml).

Instructions

Step 1

Prepare all ingredients in advance. Rinse the carrots thoroughly under running water, remove the peel, cut each carrot lengthwise into long sticks. Peel the onion, chop into large pieces.

Step 2

Put a layer of carrots, onions, bay leaves, black pepper on the bottom of the multicooker, and place a piece of meat in the center. Next, add water to the multicooker so as to close the shank by 2-5 centimeters. Set the braising program and cook the dish for about 2 hours. Remember to open the multicooker periodically and check that you have the right amount of water.

Step 3

After 2 hours, drain the resulting broth by removing the cooked vegetables in advance. Put the meat on a plate and make cuts. Peel the garlic, peel and cut into thin slices. Stuff the cuts with garlic and put the shank in the multicooker again.

Step 4

Switch the multicooker to baking mode. Pour the soy sauce and wine into the bowl. Cook the meat on each side for about 15-20 minutes, remembering to add water as needed so that the sauce does not thicken too much.

Step 5

As a result, remove the shank from the multicooker, transfer to a flat dish and pour over the resulting sauce. The ideal side dish for such meat is fresh vegetables seasoned with a little lemon juice.
