To make five servings of shrimp fettuccine with creamy sauce, you will need the following ingredients:

- pasta - 1 package;

- tiger prawns - 500 g;

- lemon - 1 pc.;

- garlic - 3-4 cloves;

- heavy cream - 1 glass;

- white wine - 100-150 ml;

- olive oil - 3 tablespoons;

- dried marjoram - 1 tsp;

- dried thyme - 1 tsp;

- parsley - 4-6 branches;

- hot red pepper - 0.5 tsp;

- ground black pepper - to taste;

- Parmesan cheese - 150-200 g.

For this dish, you can use both boiled and raw shrimp. However, it is preferable to clean and cook the shrimp yourself.

Defrost the shrimp. To do this, leave them for three to four hours at room temperature. After that, clean the shrimp from shells and entrails. Rinse seafood well under running water. Sprinkle the shrimp with lemon juice, add salt and stir.

Pour water into a saucepan and put on fire. When the water boils, add the pasta and boil according to the instructions on the package. When the pasta is cooked, drain the water.

Leave a small amount of water in which the pasta was cooked in case the sauce gets thick. You can add this liquid to the sauce.

Peel the garlic and chop it with a knife or garlic press. Put the skillet on fire. Pour in a small amount of olive oil. When the oil has warmed up well, add the garlic and fry for one to two minutes. Then pour the wine into the pan. Add cream after two minutes. Pepper, salt the sauce. Add thyme, marjoram, hot red pepper. Continue simmering the sauce for another five minutes, until it thickens.

If the sauce does not thicken for a long time, you can add a small amount of starch or flour to it - about two to three tablespoons.

When the sauce is ready, add the shrimp to it. Put them out for about four to seven minutes. The readiness of the shrimp can be determined by its new-found pink color. If you are using boiled shrimp, simmer for about two minutes. Make sure that the shrimp is not cooked for longer than the prescribed time. Otherwise, they will be tough.

Grate the Parmesan cheese through a coarse grater. Chop the parsley. Place the cooked pasta on a dish. Pour the creamy sauce over the pasta. Arrange the shrimp carefully. Sprinkle with grated cheese and finely chopped herbs on top.

You can modify this recipe by adding various ingredients to it. The most popular options for this dish also include ingredients such as smoked salmon, bacon, porcini mushrooms, spinach, and cherry tomatoes.

The recipe, which also contains mushrooms, is especially tasty. According to this recipe, you need to chop 150 grams of mushrooms, fry them in a pan with the addition of olive oil, and then put them in a creamy sauce along with shrimps. This variant of shrimp fettuccine with creamy sauce turns out to be even more aromatic and has a rich taste.
