If you decide to please your loved ones with homemade cakes, then prepare original curd pies with carrot filling. The cottage cheese dough turns out to be very soft, and the baked goods acquire a pimply fried crust. A special feature of the dish is the use of carrots as a filling, which gives it a special piquancy.

It is necessary

    • 350 g of cottage cheese;
    • 250 g margarine;
    • 1 glass of sour cream;
    • 1-2 cups flour;
    • 1-2 carrots;
    • 1 tbsp. a spoonful of sugar;
    • 1 tbsp. a spoonful of raisins;
    • salt;
    • powdered sugar.

Instructions

Step 1

Rub dry, non-acidic cottage cheese through a sieve. It is better to buy one that is prepared at home, or make it yourself, since mass-produced cottage cheese often has an inappropriate consistency and fat content. Melt and bring margarine to a boil. Mix it with chopped cottage cheese and sour cream. Season with salt and sugar to taste. Slowly adding flour, knead the dough. It should acquire an elastic state. Roll the curd dough into a ball, cover with a bowl or cling film and set aside to ripen for about half an hour.

Step 2

Prepare the carrot filling. Peel and wash the carrots. Cut it into thick circles, cover with water and put on a small fire to boil until soft. Strain off any remaining water, chill and chop the carrots. Steam the raisins. Mix it with carrots, non-acidic dry cottage cheese and sugar. Mix the whole mixture thoroughly. It is worth noting that sugar may not be added when kneading the filling. If this is the case, add a little of it while cutting the pie dough before adding the carrot mass.

Step 3

Roll the prepared curd dough into a thin layer. Cut it into square patties. Spread the carrot filling over each piece and cut the pies so that there is a small hole in the center.

Step 4

Grease a baking dish with vegetable oil or fat. Preheat the oven to a temperature of 180-200 degrees and put curd pies with carrot filling until golden brown in it. At the same time, make sure that the baking does not start to dry out. Beat the egg yolk and brush over the pies a few minutes until tender.

Step 5

Put ready-made hot cottage cheese pies in a deep dish, grease generously with thick, non-acidic sour cream, and after cooling, sprinkle with powdered sugar.
