The sandy base and soft, delicate, slightly crispy filling are a great combination for a pie. Both you and your household will like these homemade cakes. A nut pie is perfect with a cup of coffee, or it can be served with a glass of milk.

It is necessary

  • For the test:
  • - 215 g flour;
  • - 125 g butter;
  • - 3 tbsp. tablespoons of ice water.
  • To fill:
  • - 250 g of pecans or walnuts;
  • - 100 g brown sugar;
  • - 50 g butter;
  • 2/3 cup corn syrup
  • - 3 eggs;
  • - 1 teaspoon of vanilla essence.

Instructions

Step 1

Cut the chilled butter into pieces, grind with flour until crumbs. Add ice water, quickly knead the dough. Roll it out thinly, put it in the mold, going over the walls and edges of the mold. Cut off excess dough with a knife.

Step 2

Place the dough mold in the refrigerator for 20 minutes. Roll the dough scraps between the baking sheets to 0.2mm thickness. On the dough, mark the decorations for the solder - strips, stars or hearts. Place the "decoration" sheets in the refrigerator.

Step 3

Remove the dough form from the refrigerator, prick with a fork, bake for 20-25 minutes at 180 degrees until lightly browned.

Step 4

Prepare a delicious filling for the walnut pie: Beat the eggs with the sugar, add the corn syrup while whisking the mixture. Add vanilla essence, salt and butter, beat again.

Step 5

Remove the cake pan from the oven, cool slightly, spread the pecans or walnuts over the surface of the dough, pour the filling evenly over the top. Spread the dough trimmings on top. Return the mold to the oven again for 40-45 minutes (the same temperature).

Step 6

Remove the finished nut pie from the oven, cool, sprinkle generously with powdered sugar. It is better to serve with coffee, the nutty taste of the pie goes well with coffee, but for children it is better to serve a glass of milk with ration - it turns out to be healthier.
