Silicone mold is an irreplaceable assistant in the kitchen. It is easy to bake a variety of muffins, casseroles and other dishes in it. Unlike metal or glass dishes, silicone molds can be used in the oven, microwave and airfryer.

Instructions

Step 1

If you are using the silicone mold for the first time, wash it well with warm water and a mild detergent. Wipe dry and brush with vegetable oil. With further use of the form, you can do without oil.

Step 2

Place the dish on a baking sheet, microwave circle, or airfryer rack. Now fill it with dough or any other food you plan to bake.

Step 3

It is recommended to bake food in a silicone form at a temperature of 200-230 degrees. The cooking time is adjusted depending on the recipe you have chosen.

Step 4

Allow the dish to cool slightly before removing the cooked casserole or muffin from the mold. Then gently use a spoon or wooden spatula to fold back the edges of the baking dish and remove the muffin or casserole. Never use a knife or fork for this - you can damage the mold with them.

Step 5

Wash the mold with lukewarm water and put it in a cupboard.

Step 6

When using silicone molds, precautions must also be taken. Never put the mold over an open fire. Also, you cannot wash silicone with metal meshes, hard sponges that scratch the surface. Do not cut the finished dish with a knife directly in the mold.

Step 7

Silicone is considered to be an environmentally friendly material. It does not emit harmful substances when used. However, when purchasing a silicone mold, pay attention to the following. Such dishes, like any other made from environmentally friendly materials, cannot be cheap. Food grade silicone is odorless. When choosing the color of the form, give preference to restrained tones, for example, blue or gray. Too bright colors are a sign that cheap paints and materials were used in the manufacture of the form.
