Grape wine is one of the most valuable and ancient drinks, which retains all the vitamins of the original raw material, forming new useful substances during the fermentation process. Good grape wine is a real panacea for many diseases and you don't need to be an experienced winemaker to make wine at home. It is difficult to imagine a festive evening or romantic dinner without a glass of red wine.

It is necessary

    • Grapes,
    • sugar,
    • enameled pan,
    • 10 liter bottle,
    • cover with a water seal.

Instructions

Step 1

The first step is to prepare the grapes. To do this, separate the berries from the brushes and sort. Remove damaged, rotten and unripe berries, but you do not need to wash them, since the surface of the grapes contains wine yeast, which is necessary for fermentation.

Step 2

Take a large enamel pot, wash thoroughly and pour over boiling water. Pour the grapes into a saucepan and mash them with a wooden crush or with your hands so that each berry bursts and releases its juice.

Step 3

Strain the grape juice through a sieve or cheesecloth, thereby separating it from the cake. During the preparation of wine, you must maintain sterile cleanliness, otherwise, instead of wine, you may end up with vinegar due to the ingress of unnecessary bacteria.

Step 4

Pour the grape juice into a large 10 liter bottle. If you want sweet or semi-sweet wine, add sugar to taste. If you prefer dry wine, you don't need to add sugar. The content of the bottle should not exceed 2/3 of its volume, as the wort increases in volume during fermentation.

Step 5

All that remains is to seal our bottles with a water-sealed lid. If you did not find such covers in the store, you can make it yourself from scrap materials. To do this, you need a flexible hose and a cover, in which you need to make a hole and thread the hose. Cover the junction of the hose and the lid with plasticine, and lower the tube into a vessel with water. Fermentation can be seen by the bubbles coming out of the hose into the vessel with water. Place the bottles in a cool place to ferment.

Step 6

Observe the fermentation process periodically, this period is about 2-3 months, and as a result, you will get a dry wine with a strength of 5 degrees. If you like stronger wine, you will have to repeat the process from the very beginning, draining the wine without sediment and adding sugar to it at the rate of 150 g per liter of wine. Put it back in a cool place and after a month you can pour it into a smaller container and fold in a cool place. Grape wine is ready, you can serve it with meat and fish.
