Oatmeal sponge cake is very easy to prepare (10 minutes to create a dough and 40 minutes to bake) and delicious. It tastes like oatmeal cookies, but much softer and more aromatic.

It is necessary

  • Margarine or butter - 300 g
  • Egg - 3 pcs.
  • Sugar - 250 g
  • Flour - 250 g
  • Oat flakes - 250-300 g
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Soda - 0.5 teaspoon
  • Cocoa powder, honey, cinnamon, vanillin, ginger, raisins, sesame or any other additive of your choice

Instructions

Step 1

To begin with, put in a container in which we will knead the dough, margarine or butter (it does not affect the taste, there are only personal preferences), it is better to put it out of the refrigerator in advance to soften, an egg, sugar (the more sugar, the sweeter the cake, but its hardness is also greater - I stopped at the option 250 g).

And mix everything thoroughly. You should get the following picture.

Step 2

Next, add:

- salt, - soda (do not extinguish!), - cocoa powder (it gives the cake an amazing chocolate taste, I don’t bake this cake for my family without cocoa, but if you don’t want to, you can not add it; I put about 2 tablespoons with a slide), - vanillin, cinnamon, ginger (these are also irreplaceable spices for our family in this pie; vanillin - 1 sachet, cinnamon, ginger - about half a teaspoon or less), - honey, raisins, any other additive (all to taste).

Mix everything again.

Step 3

Now we add the actual oatmeal itself. And mix again

The more of them, the less soft the cake will turn out. But absolutely without them in any way. Through trial and error, I settled on 250-300 g.

Step 4

Add flour, mix again. It turns out this is not yet a very appetizing picture.

Step 5

The dough is ready. We spread it on a baking sheet. Preferably on paper or in a silicone mold.

Step 6

We put in a preheated oven.

Bake for 30-40 minutes at 180-200 degrees.

As a result, we get this already quite nice and very tender oat sponge cake.
