Packaging
Cheese and plastic wrap are incompatible things. This product has the properties of living organisms - to breathe, sweat and age. The plastic wrap will deprive the cheese of its ability to breathe, in which case the cheese will lose its flavor. But there could be a worse option when cheese becomes an incubator for harmful bacteria. Plastic is also an unsuitable container for storing this product. The ideal packaging option is parchment paper. So immediately upon returning from the store, we transfer the polyethylene cheese to the parchment. It should be noted that each piece is wrapped separately.
Refrigerator
If the house does not have a cellar for storing wines and cheeses, then only a refrigerator can serve as an alternative. 6 - 8 degrees is the ideal temperature for cheese. If the temperature is lower, then the cheese may simply die. The frozen cheese will crumble when eaten. Also, the product does not like temperature changes, under such conditions it loses its qualities. Therefore, the bottom shelf of the refrigerator is the best place to store cheese. And the ideal place is to store vegetables and fruits.

Crust
The cheese is covered with a crust for protection and flavor. Therefore, it is inappropriate to get rid of the crust prematurely. You need to understand that cutting the cheese in advance is also not worth it in order to avoid drying it out. You need to cut off as much as you can eat.
Shelf life
At home, hard cheeses can be stored in the refrigerator for a week, maximum - 10 days. Soft cheese is stored for no more than three days. Processed cheeses, if the package is open, will not dry out and will not lose their taste within two days. So when going to the store, you need to refrain from the temptation and buy only the required amount of the product.
