Coconut is a large fruit of the coconut tree. Inside the coconut there is a clear juice and a fairly tough white pulp, which has a pleasant aroma. Coconut juice is very good at quenching thirst and good for the kidneys. Coconut pulp contains many trace elements, it contains vitamins B and C, valuable fatty oils. When choosing a coconut, shake it from side to side near your ear and listen - liquid must be splashing inside. The place where the three "eyes" are located should not protrude from pressing with your fingers. Do not buy coconut that has cracked. With the proper skill, cracking a coconut at home will not be difficult.
It is necessary
coconut, screwdriver, large knife, hammer
Instructions
Step 1
Punch 2 of the 3 black "eyes" on the tapered end of the coconut. It is convenient to do this with a screwdriver of the correct size. If you don't have enough strength, you can hit the screwdriver handle with a hammer.
Step 2
Drain the liquid into a suitable container.
Step 3
Place the coconut on a flat surface or, if found, in a depression.
Step 4
Place the knife on the nut about 1/3 of the end of the coconut with the "eyes".
Step 5
Hit the blunt side of the knife with force with the hammer, rotating the coconut a little with each blow. The shell in this place is quite thin; after a few turns, a crack should appear.
Step 6
Insert the knife into the resulting crack and wiggle it slightly from side to side. The coconut has to crack itself.
