There are few people who don't like bananas. In addition to being tasty and nutritious, bananas are packed with nutrients such as potassium and magnesium. After eating bananas, the peel is usually thrown away, but scientists have proven that bananas should be eaten with the peel.
There are many reasons for this:
- the banana peel contains tryptophan, which stimulates the production of serotonin, the hormone of happiness and good mood;
- there are a lot of banana and lutein in the peel, which our body cannot produce on its own. Lutein improves the condition of the retina and enhances visual acuity;

- the magnesium contained in banana peel is a natural relaxant, helps to cope with depression, increases stress resistance, improves the quality and duration of sleep, relieves muscle tone and increased convulsion;
- bananas, used together with the peel, promote the removal of excess salts from the body;
- Eating banana peels regularly helps lower blood cholesterol.
Before eating banana peels, rinse them with hot running water.
Of course, the easiest way is to eat a banana without peeling, but in addition, you can use banana peels for making smoothies, banana tea, add to various baked goods along with the pulp, bake bananas without peeling, and so on.
Rinse one fruit thoroughly, put in a saucepan (you can pre-cut it into 2 - 3 parts), pour 1 - 1, 5 liters of water, add a pinch of cinnamon and bring to a boil, then turn off the stove and leave for half an hour to infuse.
